There are three key stages. If you're already one of the 100,000 ClickBank affiliates, skip Step 1 and go on to Step 2 ...

Step 1 Join ClickBank

Create your account at ClickBank.com - they are the people who are doing the tracking and payment of our system.

It's completely free for you to do this - and it gives you access to affiliate programs they run for other companies. If you take part in more than one affiliate program, ClickBank total and pay all your commissions at the same time. I've used them as a merchant and as an affiliate - and checked up on them with others - but of course you should make sure you are happy with the ClickBank terms and conditions before proceeding.

The outcome of this registration is that you will be given (actually - you choose!) your own ClickBank NICKNAME - and then you'll return to this page. Your NICKNAME will appear in your links and in the browser address bar - so choose wisely =:>

Step 2 Let Me Know!

When you join ClickBank, you have access to all their affiliate programs - so I don't get automatically notified. I really want to help you succeed with this - so if you drop me a quick email at affiliates@practicalselling.com I'll keep you up to date with new products and promotional tools as they happen.

Step 3 Add Links Your Site

Choose the kind of link you want to use from the list below. For each link, you can see what it looks like in use - and an example of the HTML code you need to paste into your pages.

Just click in the box to highlight the code, then copy (from the browser menu, right click, or keyboard) and paste into your HTML editor.

All this code points to the graphics on our server. You can (probably should) make your own copy of the graphic(s) you want to use on your own host and change the code to point to that.

In each case. make sure you replace AFFILIATE with YOUR NICKNAME from ClickBank - or you won't get paid for any sales.

Reviews and Recommendations

Although banners and buttons can look great on your site, most affiliates find that text links - especially "in context" - are much more effective. If you can support the link with any personal experience, recommendation or other personalisation, you will find your click through and conversion rates are much higher.

Any Rules?

Not many - the main one is that you must not use SPAM, (unsolicited email, bulk email, etc) to promote Practical Selling products.

If you do, we will terminate your affiliation immediately, put as much distance between us and you as quickly as possible, and be very public about doing so.
I'll be happy to help you find legitimate promotional techniques you can use!

The only other rule is that you don't pretend you *are* Practical Selling - but you are very welcome to say you are affiliated to us, you are our partner, and/or you are working with us.
